Charles Peete Rose Jr. is a retired television journalist and discussion host. From 1991 to 2017, he was the host and executive producer of the Charlie Rose chat show on PBS and Bloomberg LP. Rose also co-managed CBS This Morning from 2012 to 2017 alongside Gayle King and Norah O'Donnell. Rose once replaced the host of CBS Evening News. Rose, along with Lara Logan, host CBS's revived classic Person to Person, a news show interviewing celebrities at their home, originally held between 1953 and year 1961 by Edward R. Murrow. In November 2017, Rose was fired by CBS and PBS after the Washington Post published several internal allegations of sexual harassment from the late 1990s to 2011. His work at CBS was also interrupted, and his show of the same name, Charlie Rose, on PBS was canceled.
