Christopher George Robin Powell is a former English football player and coach, currently head coach at Tottenham Hotspur Academy and coach of the England national team. In the left-back position, Powell has played for Southend United, Derby County, Charlton Athletic, West Ham United and Leicester City. He also made five appearances for the England national team. With Charlton, he became a player three times in eight seasons and in 1999-2000 was part of the Premier League championship team to be promoted to the Premier League. After finishing his playing career at Leicester in 2010, Powell became a first-team coach. He then returned to Charlton Athletic as manager. In the 2011-12 season, Charlton was promoted to the Ligue 1 championship as the Ligue 1 champion in Powell's first season as a manager. He also ran Huddersfield Town from 2014 to 2015. He served as Deputy Superintendent of Derby County from 2016 to 2017, including for a time as Acting Director.
