Christopher Rene is an American singer, songwriter, songwriter and producer. He joined a group called Diversion and also had a solo career, releasing the album Soul'd Out. Chris auditioned for the first season of The X Factor USA with one of his original compositions being "Young Homie" and was one of the finalists for the first season, with L.A. Reid being his mentor. He finished third in the competition, after winner Melanie Amaro and runner-up Josh Krajcik. He is most popular in New Zealand, with his single "Young Homie" reaching number one on the New Zealand charts.
