He won the Tony Award twice for his roles as Black Stache in Peter and the Starcatcher and William Shakespeare in Something Rotten !. Borle was born as Emmett in Learies Blonde on Broadway, played Tom Levitt in the NBC musical drama Smash, and played Marvin in the 2016 Broadway revival Falsettos
