Christian Coleman is an American professional track and field athlete who competes at distances of 100 and 200 meters. He is currently the 100 meter range world champion. He won a medal brace at the 2017 World Athletic Championships, winning silver medals in the relay 100m and 4 × 100m events. He holds a personal best of 9.76 seconds for 100 meters and 19.85 seconds for 200 meters, and also holds the world indoor record at 60 meters with 6.34 seconds. He was the 2018 IAAF Diamond League champion and the world's number one 100-meter player in the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Summer 2016, only played in hot heats. He is the gold medal winner in the 60m at the 2018 IAAF World Indoor Championships and the two-time US national champion, having won the 60m in 2018 and the 100m in 2019
