Julien was born in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Anna Julien and Oscar-winning cinematographer Wally Pfister. Prior to securing the role of Chloe in The Bling Ring, Julien's only film credit was a minor role in The Dark Knight Rises, for which her father was the cinematographer. Julien attended the Fashion Trade & Design Institute, graduated in 2016
