Claire Victoria Marshall is a British journalist working for BBC News. After leaving Chew Valley Comp Comprehensive and then Blundell School, Devon in 1993, she studied law at Balliol College, Oxford. After graduating from Oxford University, she studied at Cardiff University to earn her Postgraduate degree in Audiovisual Journalism. Marshall joined ITN as a junior trainee producer under a news production deal for Five at launch. Marshall later joined Sky News as a text producer, prior to producing Sunrise. Marshall became a journalist and freelance producer in 2000, especially working for the BBC in Peru. She then reported to the BBC from Madrid, the Middle East and Mexico. She returned to the UK in 2007 as a news reporter, a role in which she covered various stories without the need for expert reporters for BBC Radio, BBC News and BBC One.
