María José de Pablo Fernández, known as Cote de Pablo, is a Chilean American actress and singer. Born in Santiago de Chile, at the age of 10, she moved to the United States, where she studied theater. De Pablo co-hosted episodes of Latin American talk show Control with former Entertainment host Tonight Carlos Ponce at the age of 15 before attending Carnegie Mellon University to study music and theater. After taking a number of television roles, she was cast in the lead role of Ziva David in the CBS TV series NCIS in 2005 and won an ALMA award for this role in 2011. She performed part of the song "Temptation" by Tom Waits in a 2008 episode of NCIS. In addition to the movie, she sang on Roberto Pitre's CD Vivo En Vida.
