Damien Sayre Chazelle is an American director, producer and screenwriter. He is known through the films Whiplash, La La Land and First Man. With La La Land, he received a number of awards, including a Golden Globe and an Oscar for Best Director; making him the youngest person to win both awards at the age of 32. His film has achieved critical and commercial success. In addition to making movies, Chazelle ventured into television with The Eddy, an eight-episode Netflix miniseries set in Paris.
