Dana McKean Evans, commonly known as "Doc" Evans, is an American athlete, coach and administrator. He plays soccer and baseball at Boston University. For ten years, he directed the Denver Sports Club activities. In 1904, he accepted a job as coach of wrestling, basketball and gymnastics at Cornell University. He was the sports director and head coach of basketball at Beloit College from 1910 to 1914. He was the basketball team head coach at Indiana University and Northwestern University. He has set a career record of 46–32 over six seasons as the head basketball coach. He is also the head coach of the racetrack in Indiana. He resigned in Indiana in August 1919 to take up the position of dean of physical education at Northwestern. He suffered a nervous breakdown in September 1924 and died of a heart attack in November 1924 .
