Daniel Pedrosa Ramal is a former Spanish Grand Prix motorcyclist who retired at the end of the 2018 season. He grew up in Castellar del Vallès, a village near Sabadell. He was the 125cc world champion in 2003 and became the youngest 250cc world champion of the 2004 season. He repeated the 250cc championship in 2005. Although he was never a MotoGP world champion, Pedrosa won it for 12 consecutive seasons. He has also finished second on three occasions and was in the top 5 in 11 of his 13 seasons. With 31 first division victories, making him eighth overall by 2021, Pedrosa consistently tops the list of “best MotoGP riders to ever win”. In 2019, the former Curva Dry Sac, a corner of the Spanish Circuito de Jerez, was renamed Curva Dani Pedrosa in his honor. Pedrosa had 13 competitive seasons for Repsol Honda until the end of 2018.
