Danilo Gallinari is an Italian professional basketball player with the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association. After spending his first four professional years in his native Italy, Gallinari was ranked sixth overall by the New York Knicks in the 2008 NBA season. He played with the Knicks for two and a half seasons before being transferred to Denver Nuggets in 2011. In 2017, it was acquired by the Clippers. His nickname is Gallo, which means "rooster" in Italian.
