Daniel William John Ings is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Premier League club Southampton and the England national team. Ings started her career with the Southampton youth team, but made her debut as a student. He then joined AFC Bournemouth, progressing through their youth system, while spending time at Dorchester Town on loan. In 2011, Ings joined Burnley and he won the title of Player of the Year 2013-2014 and helped them advance to the Premier League. After Burnley was relegated and out of contract with the club, Ings moved to Liverpool in the summer of 2015, but his first season at Anfield came to an end two months after an injury. His second season with Liverpool also mired in injury, with Ings making just two appearances in the 2016-17 League Cup season.
