Daniel "Danny" MacAskill is a Scottish test cyclist from Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye. He works professionally as a street test rider / mountain bike rider for Santa Cruz Bikes. In April 2009, he posted to YouTube a 5-minute street test video, filmed by roommate Dave Sowerby. This video caught media attention, featuring stunts performed by MacAskill on "The Fu Tang" by Band of Horses. As of April 2009, MacAskill had been practicing several hours a day for over 12 years. He quit his job as a mechanic to be able to drive full time and now lives in Glasgow. In June 2009, MacAskill appeared in the music video for Doves' single "Winter Hill". In September 2009, MacAskill was the subject of television commercials filmed by the Leith agency on behalf of the Scottish employment site s1jobs.com. On November 16, 2010, MacAskill released a new Way Back Home video produced by Red Bull Media House.
