Daniel Peter Simpson is an English professional footballer who plays right-back for the Bristol City Championship team. As a product of the Manchester United academy, Simpson has been on loan to Royal Antwerp, Sunderland, Ipswich Town, Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United during his professional development. He then signed for Newcastle on a permanent form in January 2010, before moving to Queens Park Rangers for a free transfer in June 2013. Simpson signed for Leicester City in 2014 and then was promoted to the Premier League. He was part of the Leicester team that avoided relegation in their first season before winning the Premier League title in 2015-16. He left Leicester for Huddersfield Town in 2019, but was released a year later.
