Darren Barr Fletcher is a Scottish football coach and former professional footballer who is currently the technical director of Manchester United where he has spent most of his playing career. He mainly played in central midfielder, but started his career in right midfielder and sometimes played in defense. Fletcher rose through the ranks of Manchester United's Youth Academy and spent 20 years with United, making 342 appearances for the club. With them, he won 5 Premier League, 1 FA Cup, 2 League Cup, the UEFA Champions League, 4 FA Community Shield and the FIFA Club World Cup. Fletcher was included in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year 2009–10. He was named vice-captain in his last season with the club. He joined West Bromwich Albion in February 2015, where he made 97 appearances. After leaving Albion in 2017, Fletcher spent two years with Stoke City.
