David William Duchovny is an American actor, writer, producer, director, novelist, singer and songwriter. He is known for his roles as FBI agent Fox Mulder on The X-Files television series and writer Hank Moody on the Californication television series, both of which won him the Golden Globe Award. Duchovny appeared in both The X-Files, the 1998 sci-fi thriller of the same name and the supernatural thriller The X-Files: I Want to Believe. He produced and starred in the historical detective film Aquarius. Duchovny received a BA in English Literature from Princeton University and a Master in English Literature from Yale University, and has since published four books, Holy Cow: A Modern-Day Dairy Tale, Bucky Fcking Dent, Miss Subways and Truly Like Lightning.
