Hasselhoff has appeared in movies including Dodgeball, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, Click and Hop. Before Samuel L. Jackson, Hasselhoff are the first actors to play the character of Nick Fury from Marvel Comics in the movie Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D .. In 2000, he made his Broadway debut in the musical Jekyll & Hyde. After his debut, he starred in other musicals, including Chicago and The Producers.
