David Lee Roth is an American rock musician, singer, songwriter, and former radio officer. He is known for his wild and energetic theatrical personality and as the lead singer of hard rock band Van Halen through three stages, from 1974 to 1985, in 1996, and again from 2006 until their disbandment in 2020. He is also known as a success. solo artist, releasing numerous Gold and Platinum albums certified by RIAA. After more than two decades of separation, Roth reunited with Van Halen in 2006 on his North American tour, making it the highest-grossing show in the band's history and one of the highest-grossing films. In 2012, Roth and Van Halen released their comeback album A Different Kind of Truth. In 2007, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Van Halen.
