Diana Carolina Pombo Holguín is a Colombian environmentalist, architect and writer. Pombo was born in Bogotá, where she studied architecture at the National University of Colombia, specializing in environmental subjects at universities in France, Germany and Brazil. She has contributed to the formulation of existing environmental policies and the creation of the National Environmental Movement. Pombo has repeatedly served as an advisor to organizations such as the Colciencias, the Ministry of the Environment, the Alexander von Humboldt Biological Resources Research Institute, as well as the autonomous societies of the region. She also comes from the United Nations alongside her long journey through NGOs. She is an advisor to the Environment Minister Manuel Rodríguez Becerra, presenting the design of the first national biodiversity strategy and the first international cooperation program on the environment.
