Diana Ernestine Earle Ross is an American actress and singer. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, she is best known as the lead vocalist of the group The Supremes, which became Motown's most successful act in the 1960s and is one of the main groups. World's best-selling female of all time. They remain the highest-ranking girl group in US history, with a total of twelve number one singles on the US Billboard Hot 100, including "Where Did Our Love Go", "Baby Love", " Come See About Me ". and "Love Child". After leaving Supremes in 1970, Ross embarked on a hugely successful global solo career in music, television, film and theater. Ross's debut solo album of the same name the same year included the US number one hit "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and the national anthem "Reach Out and Touch". This was followed by her second solo album, Everything Is Everything, her number one debut single "I'm Still Waiting".
