Diane Guerrero is an American actress and author. She is known for her roles as prisoner Maritza Ramos in the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black and Lina in Jane the Virgin. Guerrero grew up in Boston and stayed there after the rest of her family were deported to Colombia. She defends immigration reform. His role in Orange Is the New Black contributed to three consecutive wins for the Screen Actors Association Award for Outstanding Performance by a Group in a Comedy Series. Guerrero is the author of In the Country We Love: My Family Divided, a memoir about the detention and deportation of her parents when she was fourteen. She currently plays Jane in the DC Universe action television series Doom Patrol.
