Former Russian President who was appointed Prime Minister of Russia in 2012. When he was elected President of Russia at the age of 42 in 2008, he became the country's youngest leader. He has sought to combat corruption and restructure Russia's law enforcement, yet he is frequently considered as Putin's stooge.

Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev is a Russian politician who served as Vice President of the Russian Security Council from 2020. Medvedev was President of Russia from 2008 to 2012 and Prime Minister of Vladimir Putin from 2012 to 2020. Medvedev was elected president in the 2008 election. He is considered more liberal than his predecessor Vladimir Putin, also appointed as prime minister under Medvedev's presidency. Medvedev's main agenda as president is one of broad modernization, aimed at modernizing the Russian economy and society and reducing the country's dependence on oil and gas. During Medvedev's term, the new START nuclear arms reduction treaty signed by Russia and the United States, Russia won after the Russo-Georgian war and recovered from the Great Depression. Prime Minister Medvedev has also launched an anti-corruption campaign, although he himself has been accused of corruption.
