Donovan Anthony Bailey, is a retired Jamaican-born Canadian sprinter who is widely regarded as the greatest Canadian sprinter of all time. He used to hold the world record at 100 meters. He hit a time of 9.84 seconds to win a gold medal at the 1996 Olympics. He was the first Canadian to legally cross the 10-second barrier in 100m. Particularly famous for his top speed, Bailey ran 12.10m / s in the 1996 Olympic title race, the fastest speed ever recorded by humans at the time. He was inducted into the Canada Sports Hall of Fame in 2004 as an individual athlete and in 2008 in the 4x100 relay team at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Ontario Sports Hall of Fame.
