Douglas Costa de Souza is a Brazilian footballer who currently plays as an attacking midfielder for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich on loan from Serie A club Juventus and the Brazilian national team. He is known for his dribbling skills, speed, acceleration and passing ability. Costa started his career with Grêmio, before joining Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2010 for a fee of 6 million euros. He won numerous trophies with Shakhtar, including the domestic treble in the 2010-11 season. In 2015, he joined Bayern for 30 million euros, where he won two consecutive championships. He was loaned to Juventus in 2017 and won a domestic double with the club in his debut season. On June 7, 2018, Juventus transferred the loan permanently; he added two more consecutive championships in his next two seasons with the club, as well as a Supercoppa Italiana title. On the last day of the summer 2020 transfer window, Costa returned to Bayern Munich on loan.
