His professional music career began with his late night sketch comedy on Saturday Night Live as the lead guitarist for the local band in 1997 and produced remixes for artists like Bon Jovi and Gravediggaz. He rose to prominence in the music scene in 2004 when he produced Kelly Clarkson's single "Since U Been Gone" with Swedish record producer Max Martin.
