About Dylan Alcott

He rose to prominence after assisting the Australian national wheelchair basketball team to a gold medal at the 2008 Summer Paralympics. He is also a wheelchair tennis player and a motivational speaker. In wheelchair tennis, he won gold medals and a number of major slams.

Dylan Martin Alcott, is a wheelchair Australian basketball player, wheelchair tennis player, radio presenter and motivational speaker. Alcott is a member of the Australian National Men's Wheelchair Basketball Team, colloquially known as the Australian "Roller". At the age of 17, he became the youngest roller skating gold medalist in wheelchair basketball and the youngest to compete in wheelchair basketball. In 2014, he returned to wheelchair tennis with the goal of joining the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, where he won gold in both men's and men's singles. He was named Australian Paralympic Athlete of the Year 2016 for his outstanding performance in Rio. In addition to his athletic career, he has hosted weekend afternoon radio shows on Australian radio Triple J and live music show ABC The Set, as well as a commentator for the Australian Open.
