Edward Alvarez is an American mixed martial artist currently fighting for the ONE Championship. Previously he competed at the UFC and the Bellator MMA, having won world titles: the once-time UFC light championship belt and twice the Bellator light world championship. Alvarez is the first lightweight champion at the Bellator MMA. He also competed for the Japan promotion DREAM, where he fought in their first light Grand Prix. Alvarez also once fought to get promoted to EliteXC from ProElite. Alvarez was the first boxer to win championships at both the Bellator MMA and the UFC.
