Edin Džeko is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club Roma and is captain of Bosnia and Herzegovina national teams. Džeko has been named Bosnian Football Player of the Year for three consecutive years. He was nicknamed "The Bosnian Diamond" by football fans and journalists in Bosnia and Herzegovina or simply "The Diamond". Before joining Roma, he played for Manchester City, but made a name for himself by playing for German club VfL Wolfsburg, the team in which he won the Bundesliga in 2008-09. He is the second most scorer with 26 goals. In the 2009-10 season, Džeko was the top scorer with 22 goals. He has also scored ten assists in two seasons. During the 2011–12 Premier League season, Džeko scored four goals in a match for Manchester City against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.
