She was a Russian figure skater who competed alongside her husband, Sergei Grinkov. They won the Olympics in 1988 and 1994 as a team.

Grinkov died of a heart attack in 1995, when she was only twenty-four years old, and she became a widow.

In 1992, she gave birth to her first child, Daria, with Grinkov. In 2002, she married Olympic gold winner Ilia Kulik and they had a daughter named Liza.
