About Elina Svitolina
Ukrainian tennis player who debuted in the top ten on the WTA Tour in February 2017. She was the top-ranked Ukrainian female tennis player on the WTA Tour at the start of 2017.
Elina Mykhailivna Svitolina is a Ukrainian tennis player. After turning professional in 2010, she reached the highest rank of her career as world number 3 on September 11, 2017 and again on September 9, 2019. Svitolina won. 15 WTA singles titles, including WTA Finals 2018 and three out of five Premier 5 level tournaments in 2017: Dubai Tennis Championship, Italian Open and Canadian Open. At the 2015 French Open, she reached the first quarter-finals of the Grand Slam, where she was beaten by former champion Ana Ivanovic. In February 2017, after winning the title in Dubai, Svitolina became the first Ukrainian woman to enter the top 10 of the ranking. Svitolina eventually reached the first Grand Slam semi-finals at the 2019 Wimbledon Championship, followed by a second consecutive semi-final at the 2019 US Open.
