Elisha Ann Cuthbert Phaneuf is a Canadian actress and model. As a child actress, she made her TV debut as a supporting role in the Canadian children's horror series Are You A Fear of the Dark? and Common Mechanics for Co-Organizers. She made her film debut in the 1997 Canadian family drama Dancing on the Moon. Her first leading role was in the 1998 television series Airspeed alongside Joe Mantegna. In 2001, she starred in the movie Lucky Girl, in which she received her first prize, the Gemini Awards. After moving to Hollywood in 2001, she was cast for the role of Kim Bauer in Series 24, alongside Kiefer Sutherland. For this role, she has been nominated twice for the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2003, she played Darcie Goldberg in the comedy Old School and Carol-Anne from Love Actually.
