Gabrielle Serene Varner is an American singer and songwriter. Born into a musical family in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Los Angeles, Varner attended the Clive Davis Department of Recording Music at New York University. In October 2009, she signed with RCA Records with a publishing contract with Sony Music. Varner released her debut album, Perfectly Imperfect, in August 2012, before releasing the single "Only Wanna Give It to You". The album debuted at No. 4 on the US Billboard Hot 200 .
