Eleanor May Simmonds, OBE is an English Paralympic swimmer competing in S6 events. She gained national attention when she competed in the 2008 Summer Paralympic competition in Beijing, winning two gold medals for the UK, despite being the youngest member of the team, at the age of 13. In 2012, she again chose to enter the UK. team, this time swimming in a home match in London. She won two more gold medals in London, including setting a world record in the 400m freestyle and adding a gold medal at the Rio Paralympic Games in 2016, this time setting a world record for the 200m.
