Emily Jordan Bear is an American composer, pianist, musician and singer. After starting to play the piano and compose music as a child, Bear first performed professionally at the Ravinia Festival at the age of 5, being the youngest artist to perform there. She gained more attention with a string of appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show which began at the age of six. Since then, she has performed her own compositions and other compositions with orchestras and concerts in North America, Europe and Asia, including at Carnegie Hall, Hollywood Bowl, Montreux Jazz Festival and Jazz Open Stuttgart. She won two Morton Gould Young Composer Awards and is the youngest person to win the award. She also won two awards from young jazz composer Herb Alpert. In 2013, Bear released his debut studio album, Diversity, containing his own jazz compositions, produced by his mentor, Quincy Jones.
