Erin Cottrell is an American actress who played the role of Missie LaHaye in five of the eight films in the Love Comes Softly series. She was born in Yardley, Pennsylvania. She has appeared in Love's Long Journey, Love's Abiding Joy, Love's Legacy, Love's Dream Unoldding and Love Takes Wing. She starred with Logan Bartholomew in Love's Long Journey and Love's Abiding Joy. In all movies, she played the role of mature Missie Davis-LaHaye-Tyler except in the second in the series. Erin starred in an episode of Cold Case Season 5, Episode 11, where she played an art teacher at one of the American intern camps for Japanese descent during World War II. Her character plays a minor role in destroying a Japanese family, when she is seen kissing a married man, but he tells her that his wife is the only one he is. love, and he continues to be killed. The episode is based on discovering this man's real killer.
