Soccer coach and former forward who rose to prominence as FC Barcelona's head coach. He was voted La Liga Coach of the Year after his 2015-2016 season as Athletic Bilbao's manager, and he was hired by Barcelona in 2017.

Ernesto Valverde Tejedor is a former Spanish football player and coach who previously played as a striker. In ten seasons, he has amassed a total of 264 games and 68 goals in La Liga, an additional 55 games and nine goals in Segunda División. He has played for six teams in a professional career spanning 14 years, including Espanyol, Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao. Valverde then spent a long time as coach, especially as coach of the three clubs. He won the brace with Olympiacos in 2008–09 and 2011–12, and Barcelona in 2017–18.
