Evan Michael Longoria, known as Longo, is a professional American baseball player for the San Francisco Major League Giants baseball team. He previously played in the MLB for the Tampa Bay Rays from 2008 to 2017. Longoria played for the Long Beach State University baseball team, was the star of the CSN Bay Area 2005 Cape Cod League MVP and has was named the 2006 Big West of the Year's teammates. He was named by Rays in the first round as the third overall option in the 2006 MLB Draft. After two full seasons, he made his main league debut for the Rays in 2008 and was named to the 2006 MLB Draft. American League team to attend the 2008 MLB All Star Game. Longoria was also named the American Football Federation's Rookie of the Year in 2008. Longoria has also entered the All-Star squad three times, selected from 2008 to 2010 .
