Evonne Fay Goolagong Cawley, known as Evonne Goolagong in her past career, is a retired Australian professional tennis player. Goolagong was one of the top players in the world during the 1970s and early 1980s and was the highest ranked Australian player on the tour after Margaret Court retired. At the age of 19, Goolagong won the Roland Garros singles championship and the Australian Open mixed doubles championship. She won the women's singles championship at Wimbledon in 1971. In 1980, she became the first mother to win Wimbledon after 66 years. Goolagong has won 14 Grand Slam titles: seven singles titles, six doubles titles and one doubles title. She has represented Australia in three Fed Cup competitions, won trophies in 1971, 1973 and 1974, and was captain of the Fed Cup for three consecutive years.
