François "Faf" du Plessis is a South African international cricketer and former captain of the South African national cricket team. The du Plessis is a right handed pitcher and part time swing. He has played South African national cricket for the Northerns and Titans, as well as matches for Lancashire County Cricket Club, Chennai Super Kings and Rising Pune Supergiants. He debuted the test in November 2012 and became the fourth South African to score a century on his first test. Du Plessis was then also appointed South Africa's T20 captain in the next Twenty20 series against New Zealand and confirmed as full-time captain in February 2013. Match was August 2017 after co-captaincy. His team and former AB de Villiers captain gave up two restricted captains.
