Fairuz is the stage name of a Lebanese singer. She is one of the most well-known Arabic singers in the world. Her numerous albums include Albaalbakiya (1961), Reminiscing with Fairuz (1971), Maarifti Feek (1984), and Eh Fi Amal (2010).

Nouhad Wadie 'Haddad, dit Fairuz, also spelled Fairouz, Feyrouz or Fayrouz, is a Lebanese singer. She is considered by many to be one of the best and most famous singers in the history of the Arab world. Fairuz is considered a musical symbol of Lebanon, and is known by many as "the soul of Lebanon", comparable to Edith Piaf in France, Elvis Presley in the United States and Lys Assia in Switzerland. Fairuz began his musical career as a teenager on National Radio in Lebanon in the late 1940s as a member of the choir. Her first big hit "Itab" appeared in 1952, making her an instant star in the Arab world. In the summer of 1957, Fairuz gave her first live performance at the Baalbeck International Festival, where she received the title of “Cavalier” from Lebanese President Camille Chamoun, the highest medal in technique.
