She is best renowned for being the first Singaporean actress to make it big in Hollywood. Her significant Hollywood debut was in the film Shanghai Knights, which she starred in in 2003.
Fann Woon Fong, known as Fann Wong, is a Singaporean actress, singer and model. She is called "Ah Jie" by MediaCorp along with Zoe Tay and Xiang Yun for being one of the first artists to be formed locally. At the 1995 Singapore Star Awards, Fann became the first actress to win Best Actress and Best New Actress in the same year. After gaining regional fame and popularity in Asia through her film and television works, she became the first Singaporean actress to enter Hollywood, playing the role of Chon Lin in the 2003 film The Five Knights of Shanghai. She is also the youngest actress to win the Most Popular Artist of All Time at the Star Award after winning the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artist from 1995 to 2004 with Xie. Shaoguang. She married actor Christopher Lee on September 29, 2009 .
