Fanny Lucía Martínez Buenaventura, also known professionally as Fanny Lu, is a Colombian singer, songwriter and actress from Santiago de Cali, Colombia. She studied at the University of the Andes and obtained a degree in industrial engineering. She is the mother of two children, Mateo and Valentina. Her first job in the entertainment industry was in Colombia, where she ran a music magazine called Siempre Música. She then moved on to voice over radio on major radio stations in her country. However, she was not recognized until 1998, when she starred in the Colombian soap opera Perro Amor. In 2006, she released Lágrimas Cálidas, which rose to prominence in Colombia and several Latin American countries, with both of her singles reaching the top of the Latin charts. Her 2008 album Dos bolstered her career as a musician, gaining credibility as a famous artist. His single "Tu No Eres Para Mi" has passed several countries.
