From 2005 through 2013, he was known as"El Rey Leon", a Spanish striker for Athletic Bilbao who scored 85 goals in 262 games. In the years since, he has played for Juventus, Sevilla, and Swansea City.

Fernando Javier Llorente Torres, nicknamed El Rey León, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Italian club Udinese. He started his career with Athletic Bilbao, advancing at youth levels and after making his first-team debut in 2005 he became one of the club's most important attacking players for the next decade . He scored 29 goals in all competitions in the 2011–12 season and is considered a "legend of Bilbao". He signed for Juventus in 2013 and won the Serie A championship twice during his two years stay. He then spent the 2015-16 season returning to Spain with Sevilla before moving to Swansea City in 2016 and Tottenham Hotspur in 2017. As a Spanish player since late 2008, Llorente has been a member of the World Cup 2010 and Euro 2012 winners .
