Floor Jansen is a Dutch singer, songwriter and vocal trainer. She is currently the lead vocalist of the Finnish metal symphony band Nightwish. Jansen first emerged as a member of the symphonic metal band After Forever, as a lead singer since 1997, when she joined at the age of 16, until they disbanded in 2009. When After Forever disbanded, she formed ReVamp and released two albums. with them. . In 2012, after their lead singer Anette Olzon left, Nightwish put Jansen on tour until the end of their Imaginaerum World Tour. In 2013, they announced that Jansen is now their full-time lead vocalist; she later disbanded ReVamp to focus on Nightwish. In 2018, she and Pagan's Mind guitarist Jørn Viggo Lofstad released their hard rock duo Northward.
