Electronic artist and music producer known for his critically acclaimed albums such as Until the Quiet Comes and You're Dead! Under the stage name Captain Murphy, he also released a hip-hop album called Duality in 2012.
Steven Ellison, known by the stage name Flying Lotus or sometimes FlyLo, is an American record producer, musician, DJ, filmmaker and rapper from Los Angeles, California. He is also the founder of the Brainfeeder label. Flying Lotus released six studio albums - 1983, Los Angeles, Cosmogramma, Until the Quiet Comes, You're Dead!, And Flamagra - to critical acclaim. He produced the majority of the featured music for Cartoon Network's Adult Swimming program. He has also contributed remixes to other Plug Research artists, including Mia Doi Todd. In 2012, Ellison began rapping as Captain Murphy, based on the character Sealab of the same name in 2021. Ellison kept this fact a secret for several months, finally revealing his identity weeks after its release His first rap mixtape, Duality.
