Alfonso González Nieto is a former Grand Prix motorcyclist and grandson of famous Grand Prix motorcyclist Ángel Nieto. After a success in 250 cm3, he joined the World Superbikes and embarked on a MotoGP race. In 2010, he returned to the Grand Prix arena in the new Moto2 category. Nieto announced his retirement from playing in early 2011 after failing to recover from his racing injury in Indianapolis in 2010 .
