Forrest Griffin is a retired American mixed martial artist and former UFC heavyweight champion. He was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2013 and is currently the vice president of athletic development at the UFC Performing Institute. Griffin, a former Georgia policeman, first appeared after winning the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. In the tournament final, he beat Stephan Bonnar, which would have sparked UFC success.
