Francis Edward Turner is an English folk and punk musician from Meonstoke, Hampshire. He began his career as the lead vocalist of the post-heavy band Million Dead, then began a mainly acoustic-based solo career after the band split in 2005. In studio and live, Turner was accompanied by his backing. band, The Sleeping Soul, which included Ben Lloyd, Tarrant Anderson, Matt Nasir and Callum Green. So far, Turner has released eight solo albums, four rarity compositions, one "best" flashback album, one separate album and five EPs. Turner's eighth studio album, No Man's Land, was released on August 16, 2019.
