Fraser Gerard Forster is an English professional footballer who currently plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Southampton. He played for the England national team from 2013 to 2016. Forster started his career with Newcastle United and made short-term loans with Stockport County and Bristol Rovers. He then spent a successful season on loan at Norwich City, helping the club win the League 1 title and be promoted to the league. Forster then joined Celtic on loan during the 2010-11 season, helping them win the Scottish Cup. He spent another season on loan there, winning the Scottish Premier League title before becoming a full member in 2012 for a transfer fee of £ 2.2million. Forster has won widespread praise for his performance at Celtic and holds the Scottish Premier Division record with 1,256 minutes without conceding a single goal. In August 2014 he joined Southampton for £ 10million.
